Staff Spotlight - Kim Alambar
Every member of the HSNT team is important to the work we do, and some team members work more behind the scenes than others. One of those amazing team members we want to highlight this month is our Quality Coordinator, Kim Alambar!
Kim has been with HSNT since January 2016, back when Dr. Moore worked as a provider, and she actually started out her HSNT journey at the front desk of our old DMC 4310 building. After a while, she moved to the Medical Records position, and by January 2018 Kim entered her role as the Quality Coordinator, where she remains today.
“I am the resident data nerd!” Kim proudly exclaims. “[Among other things], I run various reports for the quality measures, run the Capacity & Utilization report, and the provider incentive measures.”
This sort of data is very important for HSNT to keep track of. For example, if our Grants Manager, Jamie, needs the numbers for how many new mothers HSNT took care in a certain year, Kim is the person she can go to for that information. Data like that can be very helpful for showing the details of HSNT’s impact on the community and helps us remember all the great work we’ve done throughout the years.
“The reporting is also important so we can monitor each health center’s performance and make changes where we need to,” Kim says, “so we can make sure we’re providing the best quality care that we can.”
Kim is also on several of HSNT’s committees, such as the Quality Committee, Peer Review Committee, Employee Appreciation Committee, and Credentialling and Compliance Committee. Her world might be numbers and spreadsheets, but Kim has a different reason for why she loves coming into work every day.
“I love that we provide a much-needed service to patients who would otherwise go without medical care,” she says. “I may not be in a patient-facing role, but I can still see the wonderful impact HSNT is having on our community every day.”
Thank you, Kim, for your hard work every day livin’ the mission!
