A Safe Place for Questions...and Answers: An HSNT Patient Story

A long-term Texas resident, Tara had recently moved to Plano and was searching for a new healthcare provider when she scheduled an appointment at HSNT. “I was needing to schedule an appointment and you guys offer services for people that have insurance and people that don't, which I think is really wonderful,” Tara recalls. “So, I was just like, you know, I'll try it out - and they were able to get me in. So, nothing special about how I ended up there, but what proceeded after that I feel like was really special.”

That first visit introduced her to Certified Physician Assistant Ana Archila, and what Tara thought would be a quick, routine appointment turned into the beginning of something much more meaningful.

Tara, who owns a digital marketing company and leads a fast-paced life, had been feeling off. She was tired, not quite herself, with no clear cause.

“I’m in my 40s and healthy by all the usual standards, but something wasn’t right,” she says. “Ana asked thoughtful, detailed questions, things other providers hadn’t asked. She took her time and truly cared about getting to the root of what I was feeling.”

Together, they explored potential hormonal shifts, subtle signs of perimenopause, and the ways small changes in nutrition, movement, and routine could improve Tara’s energy and overall health. Ana also ordered additional testing to rule out underlying issues, giving Tara peace of mind and a clearer path forward.

“She made me feel heard,” Tara says. “Even when I came in with things I’d found online, things I know most doctors don’t love, I'd be like, ‘Hey, you know is it this thing, or is this a possibility, or is this something that we should look into?’ She was always open to the conversation.”

This is part of Ana Archila’s, PA-C, philosophy of care and she shared, “I want my patients to feel they are in a safe space, and they can share their concerns honestly, asking questions so that together we can work towards optimal health. My goal is to empower patients to take accountability for their health.”

For Tara, that openness turned a one-time visit into a long-term commitment. She now considers Ana a true partner in her care. The holistic care she receives is a big part of what brings her back.

"From start to finish, the experience is great,” Tara shares. “When you walk in, they check you in right away and everyone is super friendly. You don’t feel like you’re in a typical doctor’s office, it’s just really comfortable. And then, if you have any tests done or get blood work, they always follow up with a phone call. They’ll say something like, ‘Hey, we just wanted to let you know your test results are in, and everything looks good.’ I think that’s a really nice touch, actually getting to talk to a real person." Tara encourages others, especially those who’ve felt dismissed or overlooked in the past, to give HSNT a chance.

“Your health is the most important thing you have,” she says. “HSNT makes care affordable for everyone, so there really isn't an excuse to not make an appointment. If you’re nervous, just go. You’ll be surprised by how supported you feel.”

Now, with her health concerns cared for and a trusted care partner by her side, Tara is back to doing what she loves: growing her business, enjoying life in her new community, and focusing on what matters most.

“I thought I was just going in for a quick visit,” she says. “Instead, I found someone who walks beside me in my health journey.”
