If you are an established patient of our primary care services at HSNT, you have an advantage. Your medical records are already here. Once we have your new test results and other vital signs, we can compare your health year to year. It's important to have a healthcare team that is familar with your individual healthcare needs.

Getting a physical each year is an important part of tracking your health — and getting the help you need to stay well. During an annual physical, you can expect a thourough exam that allows time for Q&A with your provider.

We may also ask that you fast at least 12 hours before your appointment to have blood work. If you would like to have a physical, submit an online request form.

  • Potential early detection of disease
  • Better opportunity for disease prevention

What Can I expect During a Physical?

During your annual physical at HSNT, you can expect that we will check your vital signs, measure your height and weight, perform a physical exam, and discuss your overall wellness to determine if you need additional tests beyond routine blood work and urine analysis. Just like most medical visits, we will take your blood pressure, temperature, and pulse. Some tests that we perform are based on age, if you are male or female, and if you are higher at risk for specific health concerns (diabetes, high cholesterol, thyroid conditions, and more). If this blood analysis comes back abnormal, our providers will work with you in determining the best course of treatment for your health.

During your annual physical at HSNT, you can expect to have a private physical examination in one of our treatment rooms and opportunity for Q&A with your provider. We may ask if you would like to update your immunizations or need a specific test.

Will I need Additional Tests?

There may be additional tests ordered for your care while you are at your annual exam (based on your symptoms, family histroy and physical exam). Also, you may need a referral to see a specialist for specific types of screenings, such as a mammogram, or imaging services that HSNT will refer you out for.
