Plano and Wylie Children's Medical Clinics

The Plano Children’s Medical Clinic (PCMC) and Wylie Children’s Medical Clinic (WCMC) are more than just healthcare providers, they are lifelines of hope. Let us serve your family by being your child’s medical home.

Plano Children’s Medical Clinic was started in 1991 when a local pediatrician and school nurse who were working with young patients in the Head Start Program recognized a need for medical care for children of low-income families with no insurance. The clinic first opened on Wednesdays and Thursdays in October of 1991 in a small house provided by First Baptist Church of Plano. The church has since donated the land, and a spacious new building was built through collaborative efforts with the local Rotary Clubs, individuals, and generous volunteers.

A similar need was identified in the Wylie area, and so the Wylie Children’s Medical Clinic was opened in 2009. Funding is sustained by grants, church and civic group donations, corporate support, state funding, foundations, and individual donors.

The clinics are staffed by doctors, nurses, medical assistants, translators, and office personnel who are all dedicated to ensuring that every patient receives the best care possible. Each staff member strives to make a difference for the children of our community and their families. Over 100,000 children have been seen by our healthcare providers for well-visits, sick-care, and immunizations. The clinic serves children who are on Medicaid, CHIP, or have no insurance.

PCMC and WCMC are subsidiary clinics of Health Services of North Texas.
