Richard Easton

Meet Richard

Richard Easton, PA-L, brings over three decades of medical experience to patient care. He first began studying medicine at the age of 20 after enlisting in the military as a combat medic. Over the course of 11 years, he honed his skills in diverse medical situations, eventually attending the Physician Assistant (PA) program through a military partnership with the University of Nebraska, where he earned both bachelor’s and master’s degrees.

"The military taught me to be adaptable, to treat patients with urgency, and to take on a variety of roles," Richard shares. "In the field, you’re the cardiologist, dermatologist, and trauma expert when needed. That broad exposure helped shape my philosophy of care."

After completing his military service in 2011, Richard continued practicing medicine in the Lewisville area before joining HSNT in December 2023. His extensive experience includes primary care, serving patients from all walks of life.

Richard’s approach to patient care is rooted in old-school values. "I treat every patient as if they were part of my family. Whether they’re like a sister, an aunt, or even that cousin you don’t want to see too often," he jokes. "But no matter what, they get my full attention and respect."

Richard believes in spending quality time with his patients, taking the time to listen, educate, and ensure they leave with a better understanding of their health. One of the biggest challenges Richard faces is balancing his desire to give patients the time they need with the fast pace of modern medicine. But for him, the rewards far outweigh the obstacles. "Seeing a patient improve, hearing them say they trust you, or having someone recommend you to a friend or family member, that’s what makes it all worth it."

For Richard, HSNT is a family. "We want our patients to feel like they’re part of something bigger," he explains. "Not every place will be the right fit, but we invite everyone to join us and see how we can make a difference in their lives. We’re here to support them, just like family."

When Richard isn’t at the clinic, he’s spending time with his family or enjoying the outdoors. He’s a devoted husband and father to five children, and grandfather to a few grandchildren too. In his free time, Richard enjoys fishing, hunting, and working on his family’s ranch. "Fishing is my escape," he says. "It’s relaxing, frustrating, and rewarding—sometimes all at once. But it’s where I feel at peace."

"I was happy to get in and get the appointment when I needed it. Richard Easton PA is my new PCP and I really liked him. I haven't had a male doctor for quite a while, he was very thorough and knowledgeable, also, respectful to my condition. He answered my questions and got me the medical attention that I needed. I have been coming to HSNT for quite a while, over 10 years. I have always been able to get in for an appointment when I needed it."
