Meet Nicole
Nicole Sherman, Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner brings 24 years’ experience caring well for women’s health care needs in a wide variety of settings, giving her a deep understanding of complex women’s health concerns.
Ms. Sherman’s wide range of experience has equipped her well for meeting the needs of women coming to HSNT for family planning, well woman exams, prenatal care, and acute care needs. Ms. Sherman is passionate about teaching women how to take care of their bodies and developing effective, doable treatment plans together.
“I don’t want women to feel embarrassed to talk about their health issues. I find that making them laugh and teaching them as we go along reduces the discomfort and eases stress and tension. My goal is to empower women to take care of themselves, advocating for them as they walk through their health journey.”
As Ms. Sherman reflects on being on the HSNT Women’s Health Provider Team, she appreciates the collaborative team environment and the benefits that has for the patient. Creating a medical home model of care that is all encompassing gives patients access to the care they need and builds trust.
Patients will appreciate Ms. Sherman’s warm bedside manner, along with a little humor, and her deep desire to inspire her patients to achieve a healthy lifestyle to prevent future illness.
