Denton, TX — Health Services of North Texas (HSNT) is proud to announce a series of prestigious recognitions that underscore its commitment to delivering quality, effective patient-centered care across North Texas.
In August 2025, HSNT was awarded the Silver Health Center Quality Leader badge by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), placing the organization in the top 11–20% of nearly 1,500 health centers nationwide for clinical quality performance in 2024. This honor reflects HSNT’s measurable success in improving health outcomes through enhanced screenings for breast cancer, hypertension control, and HIV testing, as well as an 8% growth in total patients and a nearly 60% increase in enabling services , such as caes management that break down barriers to achieving improved health outcomes.
In addition to the Silver badge, HSNT earned multiple HRSA Clinical Quality Recognition (CHQR) badges, including:
- Heart Health Badge, only 16% of health centers earned this badge
- Diabetes Badge, only 13% of health centers earned this badge
- Preventive Health Badge, only 9% of health centers earned this badge
These accolades affirm HSNT’s dedication to chronic disease management and preventive care especially for those in our community that might not otherwise have access to life-giving healthcare services.
“HSNT has played a big part in my health, both physically and mentally. My provider and the rest of the team, from my experience, provided superior service even when I was financially in a place where I couldn't afford to pay for services provided immediately or at all at one point. They've made it easy to get my meds at an affordable price by sometimes doing the leg work for me when I'm overwhelmed with the cost of what keeps me alive. I could go on and on. My intentions are to say thank you HSNT and to recommend them to you all who are reading this review...” -HSNT Patient
HSNT also celebrates its re-certification as a Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) with a Behavioral Health Distinction, a recognition it has held since 2021. This designation highlights HSNT’s integrated care model, which includes wraparound services such as case management and prescription assistance, ensuring patients receive comprehensive support to achieve their health goals.
“These recognitions are a testament to the tireless efforts of our clinical and support teams,” said Doreen Rue, CEO of HSNT. “We remain committed to improving access, reducing disparities, and delivering compassionate, coordinated care to every patient we serve.”
HSNT’s achievements were also celebrated during National Health Center Week, where community leaders and stakeholders gathered to honor the impact of community health centers past, present, and future.
