Strengthening Community Health Through Strategic Partnerships

In 2025, Texas Health Denton continued their collaboration with Health Services of North Texas (HSNT) as a premier business stakeholder. Texas Health’s commitment to supporting patient care through their generous $125,000 investment in HSNT underscores a shared vision of improving health outcomes for underserved populations and therefore building a healthier community for North Texans. This collaboration leverages Texas Health’s resources and medical expertise to enhance HSNT’s mission of providing essential healthcare services to individuals and families in need of care, regardless of their income or insurance status.

Regarding the collaboration, HSNT CEO Doreen Rue stated, “The financial investment in patient care demonstrates Texas Health Denton’s commitment to moving the needle on chronic conditions, creating access to quality medical care for those that might not otherwise have access and the overall health of our local Denton community. Along with the financial investment, the collaborative relationship between HSNT and Texas Health Denton creates a stronger healthcare network for our patients and community.”

Texas Health is a nonprofit health system that cares for more than 8 million patients in North Texas through hospitals, physician groups, and outpatient facilities. The Texas Health Denton hospital includes a newly added Center for Women, with specially designed spaces dedicated to labor and delivery as well as postpartum recovery. They are also home to the only Level III designated Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in the City of Denton.

HSNT shares Texas Health’s dedication to serving women and families. In 2025, one patient who received medical care at HSNT stated, “I am a single mother and low income. My income was too much to qualify for Medicaid for myself but not high enough to qualify for the Marketplace. I fell through the cracks with very limited options for healthcare. HSNT provided excellent care for me and charged a very manageable office visit fee. They also connected me with community programs to get a mammogram at no out of pocket cost. I am so grateful for this medical resource!”

The ongoing partnership between HSNT and Texas Health Denton exemplifies the power of collaboration in advancing community health. With continued support and shared dedication, both organizations are making a meaningful difference in the lives of Denton County residents, ensuring broader access to vital healthcare services and fostering a healthier community for all.
