What Is Family Planning?

Family planning helps you decide when, how, and whether to grow your family. Our women’s health providers and family physicians offer education, testing, and care to support your reproductive health.

Our services are available for individuals and couples and include guidance on:

  • Preparing for a healthy pregnancy
  • Planning your first baby or another child
  • Spacing pregnancies
  • Preventing pregnancy

We focus on your whole health, before, during, and between pregnancies.

  • Well-woman exams
  • Physical exams
  • Blood and hormone testing
  • Sexually transmitted infection (STI/STD) testing and treatment
  • Fertility assessments

  • Referrals to specialists when needed

Having Trouble Getting Pregnant?

If you and your partner are having trouble conceiving, HSNT can help. Our providers offer basic fertility testing and education in a private and supportive setting.

This may include:

  • Blood work and hormone testing
  • Education about ovulation cycles
  • Sonograms to check reproductive organs
  • Identifying possible causes of infertility

If specialized care is needed, we can refer you to a fertility specialist and help guide you through any next steps.

Family planning helps you choose the family size that’s right for you, whether that means becoming pregnant or preventing pregnancy.

There is no wrong time. You can start before pregnancy, between pregnancies, or at any stage of life.

Treatment depends on your body and needs. We start with testing and education, then create a care plan just for you.

Mavis Clinic is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Additionally, we offer limited hours on Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM to accommodate our patient’s diverse schedules. Please note that our clinic is closed on Sundays and major holidays.

Yes. Partners are welcome and encouraged to take part, if desired.
