Meet Brittany

For Brittany Scott, DNP, APRN, AGNP-C, patient care is a calling shaped by empathy and a commitment to improving lives.

Originally from North Carolina, Brittany earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice in Adult Gerontology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Her path into healthcare began after the preventable loss of her uncle and pastor. This moment moved her to pursue nursing and, eventually, become a provider with the autonomy to advocate more fully for her patients.

“I wanted to be in a position where I could help change outcomes,” Brittany shares.

After years of bedside nursing, including experience in the ICU, Brittany began practicing as a provider in 2023. She brings strong critical-thinking skills to primary care, paired with a calm, thoughtful approach shaped by her time in high-acuity clinical environments.

At Health Services of North Texas, Brittany embraces a whole-person approach to care, recognizing that physical health is often closely connected to emotional, mental, and even spiritual well-being.

“Sometimes being a provider means being a detective,” she explains. “You have to ask deeper questions to understand what’s really going on.”

Whether supporting patients with chronic conditions like diabetes and high blood pressure or addressing acute health concerns, Brittany takes time to understand the full picture. But what motivates her most is seeing patients grow healthier over time.

“I love watching patients improve,” she says. “Seeing an A1C come down or blood pressure stabilize reminds me that this work truly makes a difference.” She also values the relationships built along the way, celebrating personal milestones just as much as clinical progress. “When patients tell me they feel like themselves again, my heart smiles.”

A Message for Our Patients

Brittany’s promise reflects the heart of HSNT’s mission:

“My heart is big enough to care for you in the best way that I can, and I’m humble enough to say if I don’t have the answer, I’ll find it for you.”

When she is not caring for patients, Brittany enjoys traveling, discovering great food, and spending quality time with loved ones. Though originally from North Carolina, she has found meaningful community here in Texas and considers it home.

“Life teaches you to cherish your loved ones,” she says. “That perspective shapes how I care for others every day.”
