Speaker 1: Thank you for your interest in Health Services of North Texas. A nonprofit healthcare center, providing quality affordable medical care through seven clinics in Denton and Collin counties. Let me tell you a little bit about who we are, what we do and why we are a good choice for your support. We begin meeting the needs of our community in 1988. This year, we're celebrating 30 years of providing care to the communities we serve. In 2012, Health Services of North Texas became a federally qualified health center, also known as an FQHC or a community health center. At Health Services of North Texas, we are committed to providing health care to all including those who need it most

Speaker 1: In 2017, HRSA the Health Resources and Services Administration recognized Health Services of North Texas as a quality leader. This recognition has been received three times in the last five years. We are rated and recognized for our operational and financial transparency by GuideStar with their highest rating, a platinum seal. GuideStar is the world's largest source of information on nonprofit organizations. Gathering, organizing, and distributing information about nonprofits. 91 cents of every dollar received by Health Services of North Texas goes directly to patient services. Texas continues to report the highest percentage of uninsured people in the U.S. People without health insurance often struggle to make their weekly income meet their basic needs for food, rent, utilities and transportation.

Speaker 1: In fact, almost 16% of Texas families have incomes that are less than the federal poverty level, which is only $25,100 per year for a family of four. This puts health insurance out of reach. Often, their needs are postponed until they become more complex and expensive to treat. Families and individuals who are unable to afford medical care, often rely on expensive emergency rooms for preventable health issues. Denton and Collin counties do not have a public charitable hospital like Parkland in Dallas. This causes a financial burden for communities every year. Health services of North Texas is dedicated to helping people stay out of the emergency rooms, by focusing on affordable routine preventative care.

Speaker 1: We connect people to care in multiple ways to provide access to comprehensive healthcare and social services. We are here to be our communities resource and primary care providers. Health Services of North Texas aims to provide a wide range of professional high quality health care services, designed to optimize every patient's dignity, autonomy, and comfort. We are the advocates for the patient and strive to assist patients in gaining quality of life during their time of need. We're dedicated to continually seeking new ways of being responsive to the ever-changing health needs of our patients and the communities we serve. Since 2012, the need and our growth has been exponential. We have expanded from two to seven locations, serving Denton and Collin counties.

Speaker 1: Health Services of North Texas is here to serve our community by providing quality affordable medical care for the entire family, regardless of income or insurance status.
